Kirawira Camp stands high on the bluffof a ridge, with commanding panoramic views over the volcanic reefs of the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. The journey to Kirawira Camp is not hard as access is via a well serviced airstrip close by. This is the quickest and easiest way to arrive at Karawira. Road transport is also an option.
The Grumeti River runs close to Kirawira Camp and it is on the plains of this area that the Great Wildebeest Migration of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania occurs. Much of the plains game - Zebra, Wildebeest and gazelles - mate when they are in the Kirawira area. When the grass runs out, these great herds of African grazing animals move north in search of better grazing.
